Joshua Kim of the King University men's volleyball team has added another award to his collection as he garnered honorable mention All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Kim becomes the second Tornado to earn honorable mention AVCA All-America honors, joining Jeff Sprayberry in 2017 and 2018.
Last month, the right side was selected Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and first team All-Conference Carolinas. During the season he was selected American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week as well as Conference Carolinas Player of the Week on March 29.
This season Kim averaged 3.81 kills and 1.71 digs per set, ranking him third and ninth in Conference Carolinas, respectively. He also ranked in the league's top 10 with an attack percentage of .317 that is eight. He posted at least 10 kills in a match 15 times this season, including a season-high of 24 when he hit .333 in a win at the University of Charleston. That match was also his lone double-double of the season as he posted a season-high 16 digs.
