BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's wrestling team not only had a successful year on the mat, but they were also successful in the classroom. The Tornado were in the top 10 of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) on their Scholar Team All-America and had 12 individual honorees.
King was sixth with a team GPA of 3.711. Colorado Mesa University was atop the list with a team GPA of 3.87, followed by McKendree University (3.776), Augsburg University (3.766) and Adrian College at 3.765. North Central College was fifth at 3.721.
King had 12 individuals recognized, which was the second-most behind Colorado Mesa's 13.
