BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship, the league announced their all-conference performers, and three members of the conference champion King University men's golf team were recognized.
Samuel Trueba,
Alex Bradford and
Åasmund Norum all garnered all-conference honors.
Trueba earns first team All-Conference Carolinas after winning three tournament and posting four top 10 finishes. He averaged 70.82 strokes per round as he shot 15 rounds at par or under. He finished five tournaments under par, winning the King University Invitational, the Hurricane Invitational and the Tennessee River Rumble. His low 54-hole score of 207 (nine-under) came at the Hurricane Invitational. Trueba was selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week three times this season.
Bradford garners second team all-conference honors a season after earning third team recognition. He posted three top 10 finishes with eight rounds at par or lower. His low round of the season is 68 and he averages 73.74 strokes per round. He finished seventh at the King Invitational and later took ninth at the Tennessee River Rumble. Bradford posted his best finish at the Conference Carolinas Championship, taking sixth with a score of 221. His low 54-hole score of 212 came at the season-opening Kiawah Island Invitational.
Norum garners third team all-conference honors in his first year on campus. He averaged 74.12 strokes per round, posting five rounds of par or lower. His lone top 10 finish of the season came at the Conference Carolinas Championship where he finished ninth with a stroke total of 222. Norum's low round of the season is 67, coming at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate. He was selected Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month twice this season.
