BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season, the King University men's volleyball team has swept the Conference Carolinas weekly awards, with
Suetonius Harris being selected as Player of the Week, while
Jack Sarnowski was tabbed Specialist of the Week.
Harris started all 11 sets on the week, averaging 4.09 kills and 1.27 digs per set. He started the week with 15 kills and a pair of blocks against Belmont Abbey, before posting 11 kills against Barton He closed the week with a season-high 19 kills in a 3-1 win over Mount Olive Saturday that clinched the number two seed in the conference tournament.
Sarnowski, who has now won the weekly award five times this season, played in eight sets, averaging 12.13 assists per set. He started the week by playing four sets at Belmont Abbey, recording 46 assists before topping that Saturday against Mount Olive, when he had 51 assists. Sarnowski also averaged 1.38 digs per set.
The Tornado earned the number two seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament and will play in the semifinals April 22 at the University of Mount Olive.
