Kim selected AVCA National Player of the Week

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men's volleyball player Joshua Kim had a big week last week as he was selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week on Monday. On Tuesday, he garnered American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week.

Kim becomes the second Tornado in history to be selected AVAC National Player of the Week, joining Kiel Bell who was selected on April 10, 2018.

Kim led the Tornado to a pair of road Conference Carolinas win last week as he averaged 5.00 kills per set. He started the week by posting 19 kills and five digs, along with three block assists in a win over Emmanuel College. Kim hit better than .300 in each match this second, recording a .316 attack percentage at Emmanuel before hitting .333 at Erskine. In the match at Erskine, he posted 16 kills and added three block assists.

The Tornado are in action again on Thursday night when they host Tusculum University at 7:00 p.m.
