Joshua Kim and
Jack Sarnowski of the King University men's volleyball team have been selected as the Conference Carolinas weekly award winners.
Kim, who was chosen as Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for the first time this season, played in all seven sets for the Tornado, averaging 5.00 kills per set. He started the week by posting 19 kills and five digs, along with three block assists in a win over Emmanuel before posting 16 kills with an attack percentage of .352 against Erskine Saturday.
Sarnowski, who is now a four-time Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week honoree, Sarnowski had another big week for the Tornado, averaging 13.14 assists and 1.29 digs per set. He recorded 45 assists in a four-set win over Emmanuel on Friday before topping that with a 47-assist performance Saturday, helping the Tornado sweep Erskine.
The Tornado will be back in action Tuesday night, when they host Lincoln Memorial University. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m., with coverage available on the Tornado Sports Network.
