BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the third time in three months, the King University women's wrestling team as the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Southeast Region Wrestler of the Month. In January, it was
Montana DeLawder that had a spectacular month leading the top-ranked Tornado.
DeLawder helped the Tornado win their fifth NWCA National Duals title, taking three wins at the event. Two of those wins came over ranked foes as she pinned third-ranked Asia Nguyen-Smith of North Central College in 4:20 in the semifinals. In the final, DeLawder defeated top-ranked Cameron Guerin of McKendree University on a 7-4 decision. DeLawder is now 16-1 on the season having won her last 13 bouts. Following her month, DeLawder moved up in the rankings, and is now ranked first at 130 pounds.

Ana Luciano (December) as Tornado that have been selected NWCA Southeast Wrestler of the Month.
DeLawder is now eligible for NWCA National Wrestler of the Month that will be announced next week.
