KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The King University women's swimming team finished fifth at the Conference Carolinas Swimming & Diving Championships. The Tornado set six school records, including two on the final day.

HOW IT HAPPENED – SATURDAY
- Ashley Woods finished third in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 18:08.73.
- Jamie Edwards set a school record with a 100 yard freestyle time of 52.94 seconds in the preliminaries.
- In the final she touched the wall in 52.96 seconds to take sixth.
- The 400 yard relay team of Edwards, Michelle Morlock, Brooke Williams and Madi Matthews set a new school record with a time of 3:37.46, giving them a fifth-place finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FRIDAY
- Abbie Erme set the school record in the 100 yard breaststroke time of 1:07.68 in the preliminaries.
- Later in the day she finished seventh in the finals with a time of 1:08.09.
HOW IT HAPPENED - THURSDAY
- Jamie Edwards had a big day for the Tornado, setting the school record in the 50 yard freestyle in the prelims and breaking that mark in the finals.
- In the prelims she finished in 23.97 seconds to qualify for the finals
- She then finished second in the finals with a time of 23.74 seconds.
- The yard freestyle relay team of Edwards, Samantha Davis, Brooke Williams and Madi Matthews set a new school record with a time of 1:37.01 to take fourth.
HOW IT HAPPENED – WEDNESDAY
- Ashley Woods started the championships on a high note setting a school record and finishing third in the 1000 yard freestyle. She touched the wall in 10:48.29

- The Conference Carolinas Swimming and Diving Championships resume on Friday morning with preliminaries at 10:00 a.m. and finals 5:00 p.m. at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
