BRISTOL, Tenn. – The spring season started on a high note for
Samuel Trueba of the King University men's golf team. He finished 12th at the Spring Kickoff and was selected Co-Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Month.
Trueba finished 12th in a deep field at the Spring Kickoff, shooting 224. He led the Tornado to an 11th-place finish in the spring-opener. He opened with rounds of 75 and 73 on Monday before shooting 76 in Tuesday's final round.
This marks the second time this season Trueba has been selected Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Week. The last time was on September 29.
Trueba and the Tornado will be in action again on Monday and Tuesday at the Hurricane Invitational in Albany, Ga.
