King swimming teams earn CSCAA All-America team honors

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's and women's swimming teams were named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams this week. This marks the fourth time both programs have earned this distinction in the same semester.

The women's team has earned CSAA Scholar All-America team honors eight times, including the last seven semesters. Under the tutelage of head coach Matt Brinton the women posted a 3.41 team GPA in the fall.

For the men, the marks the fourth time they have earned this award, and the second straight semester. In the fall, the men recorded a team GPA of 3.31.

Selections were made on the basis of their fall grade point averages and represent 18,029 student-athletes. The Scholar All-America team includes 728 teams from 450 institutions.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
