Sam Osowiecki set a personal record in the 100 yard backstroke Saturday afternoon as the King University men's swimming team edged Emory & Henry College 126-123. The Tornado also competed against Lenoir-Rhyne University, falling 148-91.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado picked up a second-place finish in the 200 yard medley relay, with the team of Osowiecki, Kessler Dayton, Haakon Meyer and Jan Kuljak finishing in 1:41.66.
- King took the top two spots in the 200 yard freestyle, led by a win for Kuljak, who finished in 1:47.46 to edge Gideon Bezuidenhout by .14 seconds.
- Dayton picked up a second-place finish in the 50 yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 27.76 seconds to beat Dale Bruce, who finished in 28.66 seconds.
- Luke Hunt finished second in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.20 seconds, just .40 seconds back of the winner.
- Osowiecki's personal best came in the 100 yard backstroke, finishing in 55.60 seconds to take second.
- Dayton earned another second-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:01.51.
- The Tornado ended the meet on a high note, as the team of Hunt, Bruce, Meyer and Kuljak won the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:29.66, winning by over three seconds.

- The Tornado will wrap up the regular season on Feb. 5 when they face Chowan before hosting the Conference Carolinas championships during the week of Feb. 16.
