MARS HILL, N.C. – The King University men's swimming team earned their first win of the season, defeating Mars Hill University 93-58 on Saturday afternoon. King also fell to Lees-McRae 118-70 in the tri-meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King finished second in the 200 yard medley relay a the group of Sam Osowiecki, Kessler Dayton, Dale Bruce and Gideon Bezuidenhout finished in 1:41.34.
- Osowiecki finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.12.
- Jan Kuljak won the 200 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 1:50.05 to win by more than two seconds.
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Luke Hunt came in third with a time of 22.98 seconds while Haakon Meyer finished fifth at 23.36 seconds.
- Bezuidenhout came in fourth with a 200 yard individual medley time of 2:06.36.
- Meyer won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 56.87 seconds. Dayton's time of 59.47 seconds landed him in fifth.
- Bezuidenhout finished third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 51.16 seconds while Hunt came in fourth at 52.54 seconds.
- Osowiecki finished runner-up in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 57.21 seconds.
- In the 500 yard freestyle, Kuljak finished third in 5:13.97.
- Dayton finished runner-up in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.67.
- The Tornado won the 200 yard freestyle relay as Bruce, Meyer, Hunt and Kuljak finished in 1:31.18.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on Saturday when they host Emory & Henry College on Senior Day. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. at Tennessee HS.
- Lees-McRae is in action again on Saturday at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
- Mars Hill travels to take on Carson-Newman University on Friday evening.
