BOONE, N.C. – In their first dual meet of the season, the King University men's swimming team fell to Lees-McRae College 137-52.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado started with a 200 yard medley relay time of 1:40.96, swam by Haakon Meyer, Kessler Dayton, Dale Bruce and Luke Hunt.
- The Tornado had the top two finishers in the 1000 yard freestyle with Jan Kuljak touching the wall first in 10:49.79. Sam Osowiecki came in second with a time of 11:02.81.
- Gideon Bezuidenhout finished third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.26.
- In the 50 yard freestyle, Meyer touched the wall in 23.05 seconds.
- Bruce came in with a 200 yard individual medley time of 2:07.00.
- In the 100 yard freestyle, Hunt finished in 53.53 seconds.
- Osowiecki came in second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 57.35 seconds.
- Kuljak finished the 500 yard freestyle in 5:11.48.
- Dayton came in second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.61.
- The Tornado finished the meet with the 800 yard freestyle relay team of Bezuidenhout, Osowiecki, Dayton and Kuljak finishing in 7:30.55.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on November 6 when they host Lees-McRae. The meet is scheduled to take place at Tennessee High School with the start time yet to be determined.
- Lees-McRae travels to Roanoke College on Saturday.
