Box Score ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The King University men's volleyball team continued their tough start to the season with a road match at sixth-ranked Lewis University. The Flyer offense was on fire on Friday night as they topped the Tornado 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- Lewis scored the first four points of the match and didn't look back in the opening frame.
- The Flyers hit a blistering .857 in the opening set with 19 kills while King countered with a .389 attack percentage and seven kills.
- Lewis scored points in bunches in the first set, taking the stanza 25-10.
Second Set
- The second set wasn't much different as the Flyers hit .600, but the Tornado offense struggled.
- King also struggled at the service line in the second set as Lewis jumped out to a 10-3 lead.
- The Tornado couldn't comeback as Lewis won the set 25-13.
Third Set
- A block from Sean Kohlhase and Julian Young got the Tornado off to a good start in the third set as King held the upper hand early.
- Another block from Joshua Kim and Young gave King a 3-1 lead, but the Flyers responded with four straight points to take the lead.
- King stayed close, but a 6-0 Flyer run stretched the Lewis lead to 19-10 as the Flyers took the set 25-14 and the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kohlhase and Suetonius led King with four kills each.
- Jack Sarnowski handed out 11 assists.
FOR THE FOES
- Tyler Mitchem led Lewis with 11 kills while Ryan Coenen followed with seven terminations.
- Kevin Kauling handed out 29 assists.
- The Lewis offense hit a blistering .614 in the match with 42 kills.
