Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team played well at the net for the second straight day as they swept Conference Carolinas foe Emmanuel College. The Tornado matched a season-high with 15 blocks and had three players account for at least five stuffs in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- King trailed in the early going, but the Tornado turned the set around following a timeout with Emmanuel leading 14-10.
- Jon Wheaton started a 7-0 Tornado spurt with one of his two kills in the set.
- The Tornado posted three blocks on the run, including a stiff from Wheaton and Suetonius Harris that gave King a 17-14 lead.
- Harris later gave King the 25-20 with his third kill of the set.
Second Set
- The second set was tight until King scored four straight points to force a Lion timeout.
- Harris started the run with a kill and gave King a 15-12 advantage with another kill.
- King then closed the set on a 5-2 spurt, capped by a Harris kill, his ninth of the set to give King the 25-20 victory.
Third Set
- Sean Kohlhase started the third set with a kill as King jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
- Harris started an 8-0 run for King with a kill as the Tornado tried to put the set out of reach.
- On the spurt, King posted three blocks, taking a 16-8 advantage.
- The Tornado later closed the match on a 4-0 spurt, capped by a pair of blocks, the last from Dalton Johnson and JT Deppe that gave King the 25-15 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Harris led the offense with 13 kills and a .478 attack percentage. He added two digs and three blocks.
- Wheaton followed with seven kills and six blocks, including one solo stuff.
- Johnson led the Tornado block with nine stuffs while Joshua Kim chipped in with five blocks and seven digs.
- Deppe handed out 30 assists and added five digs and four blocks.
FOR THE FOES
- Don Thompson led Emmanuel with 13 kills while Alejandro Robles followed with 10 kills.
- Demitrius Maloney handed out 35 assists and Caleb Bonaventure posted 11 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The nine blocks for Johnson marks a career-high.
- King posted a season-high 15.0 blocks for the third time this season.
