MONROE, N.C. – The King University women's golf team opened the 2018 Wingate Challenge with a round of 329 and are in seventh place. The Tornado were led by Nicola Robertson who is second place.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nicola Robertson led the way for the Tornado, shooting 74 in the opening round to put her in second place overall after day one.
- Roxane Nataf was next for the Tornado, carding a 79 in the first round.
- Coming in with an 84 was Shelby Zeiter and Morgan Powers shot a 92 on Monday.
- Autumn Bergendahl rounded out the day for the Tornado with a 98 on the first 18 holes.
FOR THE FOES
- Lincoln Memorial University leads the field after day one with a team score of 308. Wingate University holds the second place spot with a score of 311.
- Dominika Czudkova holds the first place spot individually after shooting a 72 on Monday.
