Spartanburg, S.C. The King University Softball team traveled to Converse to play in a doubleheader. The Tornado took two wins, winning the first game 8-4 and then the second game 4-2.

Game One:

In the first game, King and Converse both took until the second inning to start the scoring. King would put the first points on the board, scoring two runs with
Savana Luper and
Aubrey King crossing home plate. Converse would bounce back with three runs scoring in the bottom of the second, making the score 3-2.

King would score the next six unanswered, with four of them coming in the fourth inning alone.
Aviah Bunsic hit a three-run home run in the fourth to set King up with the lead, 7-3, after the fifth. Bunsic would score the final run for King in the sixth inning. Converse would score in the seventh to make the final 8-4.

On the mound for King were
Sophia Waters and
Riley Lamb. The two would only let up nine hits, and Waters would strike out one batter.

Bunsic would show up big with two hits, two runs, and three RBIs.
Grace Shary would go a perfect 3-3 batting with two RBIs. Lamb would add two more hits and two more RBIs.

Game Two:

After the first game, King was eyeing up the sweeps with
Kaylee Meeks and
Kylee Horsley fresh to go for King and ready to go on the mound. Would a slow start for King, giving one run to Converse in the first inning. King would score two in the third with
Katie Ryan scoring, and then
Yuleesa Kennedy crossing home plate as well. In the fourth inning, Luper's single would score
Giana Winge, putting the score at its final 4-2.

Meeks and Horsley, both with strong outings today on the mound, get King the win. Meeks added another two strikeouts to her total.

Kennedy has one hit, which was a double, and scores a run. Ryan goes a perfect four for four with batting and scoring a run. Winge has three hits and two runs.
