BRISTOL, Tenn. — King University men's basketball opens the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship on Sunday, March 1, taking on Mount Olive in a first-round matchup hosted in Tigerville, S.C. The Tornado enter the postseason as the No. 9 seed after finishing 12–15 overall and 10–9 in league play, while the Trojans come in as the No. 10 seed.
Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. at North Greenville University.

The two teams met recently on February 21, with King earning a convincing 90–77 road win behind one of its most complete offensive performances of the season.
Key performances from the victory included:
King shot 55.6 percent from the field, scored 54 points in the paint, and turned 21 Mount Olive turnovers into 21 points. The Tornado also dominated transition play with 29 fast-break points.
The matchup featured 11 ties and 8 lead changes before King took control late in the first half and maintained the lead throughout the second.
Scouting Mount Olive
Mount Olive enters the postseason 9–17 overall and 6–12 in Conference Carolinas play. The Trojans rely on a balanced scoring group:
