GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced its 2025–26 men's wrestling all-conference honorees on Friday ahead of the Conference Carolinas Men's Wrestling Championship, and King University was well represented with two Tornado wrestlers earning postseason recognition.
The awards, selected by the league's head coaches, highlight the top performers across all 10 weight classes, as well as the conference's major award winners.
Lander University's David Hunsberger—already a two-time NCAA Division II national champion—was named Wrestler of the Year for the second straight season. Belmont Abbey's Elijah Carrington earned Freshman of the Year, while Lander's R.C. LaHaye was voted Coach of the Year after guiding the Bearcats to another dominant campaign.
King's All-Conference Honorees
149 Pounds – Third Team
Brennan Watkins
Watkins secured a spot on the All-Conference Third Team after a strong season at 149 pounds. The sophomore delivered consistent performances throughout league duals, showcasing his ability to score in all positions and compete with the conference's top talent. His placement marks an important step forward for King's middle-weight lineup.
174 Pounds – First Team
Clint Morrisette
Morrisette earned First Team All-Conference honors following a standout season at 174 pounds. One of the most reliable upper-weight wrestlers in the league, Morrisette consistently delivered bonus-point victories and anchored King's lineup in dual competition. His first-team selection places him among the elite wrestlers in Conference Carolinas and highlights his impact on the Tornado roster.
