BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's volleyball team swept the Erskine College Flying Fleet in their home opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erskine held the advantage for a majority of the first half of the opening set. But a 8-3 run from the Tornado gave them the 16-12 lead coming out of a Flying Fleet timeout.
- King had six kills by five different players and an ace from Chloe Clayton to seal the 25-18 win in the first set.
- Gracia Love had five kills in the opening set and a team-high six receptions.
- The score was tied seven times and the lead changed 3 times in the opening frame.
- Riley Nelson started the second set with a kill.
- A 5-0 run, which included two kills from Madison Blair, a kill from Nelson and a Clayton ace forced Erskine to take a timeout as King led 11-5. King would come out of the break with three more straight points to go up 14-5.
- The Flying Fleet came roaring back to tie the game at 18.
- Nelson finished the set with back-to-back kills to bookend the set with six total.
- The Tornado kept the momentum going into what would be the final set as Kylie Love had back-to-back service aces.
- Another long scoring run by King of eight in a row put King ahead 14-6 in a set that had been tied four times prior.
- Isabel Krick had a set-high four kills, while three Tornado had four kills.
