HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University women's volleyball team fell to the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters on Thursday night in their final non-conference match of the 2025 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Riley Nelson opened the match with a kill from a set from Kylie Love.
- King took a 5-1 lead in the opening set with a service ace from Faith Morse. The game was back and forth with King maintaining a slight advantage until LMU tied the set at 19.
- The Railsplitters then finalized the set, forcing the Tornado to take two time outs within four points.
- Seven Tornado had at least one kill in the first set with Capri Johnson and Gracia Love each recording three.
- The Tornado had the momentum in the second set, getting out to a 15-8 lead. The run was highlighted by four aces from Cameron Martin, Faith Morse, and Chloe Clayton and six kills.
- Following a timeout, King had kills from G. Love, Madison Blair, and Isabel Krick and an ace from G. Love to finalize the 25-22 set win.
- Martin opened the third set with a kill to start King off with a 8-2 run the forced a LMU timeout.
- Amaya Hall had back-to-back aces later in the set to put King up 20-15, but an 8-0 run from the home team flipped the momentum.
- A kill from Krick tied the score at 24 to force extras before the Railsplitters took the 27-25 third set win.
- In the fourth set, King again took an early lead at 7-4 but LMU responded with 6 unanswered to take the lead. They would keep the lead for the remainder of the set to take the match 3-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Gracia Love led the team with 10 kills. King totaled 47 total kills in the match. Love also had 17 receptions and 12 digs.
- Three Tornado had three service aces each: Faith Morse, Chloe Clayton, and Amaya Hall (who got all three aces in the third set).
- Cameron Martin had a match-high 31 receptions along with 2 aces.
- Kylie Love had a team-high 19 assists and Hall added 18.
- Isabel Krick had nine kills and all three of King's blocks.

King will be traveling to Banner Elk on Wednesday, September 24 for a match against Lees-McRae before they return home for a six-match home stretch.
