BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Conference Carolinas announced the softball weekly awards on Tuesday. King's
Alyssa Suits was named Conference Player of the Week.
Suits, a senior third baseman/catcher from Jonesborough, Tennessee played in four games for the Tornado this past week, helping King to a 3-1 record in those conference games. She had a .733 batting average with 11 hits in 15 at-bats, including two home runs, two doubles, and a triple. Her slugging percentage was 1.400 and her on-base percentage was .733 - both being the team's highest marks. Suits had 7 RBIs and scored 7 runs this week. It's her first Conference Carolinas weekly award.
The King University softball team will take on Belmont Abbey Tuesday afternoon at 1pm and 3pm.
