Belmont Abbey defeats King in doubleheader

BELMONT, N.C. – The King University softball team fell to Belmont Abbey in a Conference Carolinas doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon in two low scoring games.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
  • Both teams were scoreless until Belmont Abbey loaded the bases and scored on a single in the bottom of the fourth inning.
  • Tori Ryan tied the game with a solo home run to open the sixth inning. However, the Crusaders responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
