EMORY, Va. – The King University baseball team dropped a midweek nonconference game, 15-11 to Emory & Henry Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King struck almost immediately, as Borchardt hit a double to left center field, scoring Conner Hyatt.
- Joe Amunategui III then grounded out, allowing Michael Starrs to score to make it a 2-0 lead.
- Borchardt then scored on a wild pitch, giving the Tornado a 3-0 lead.
- The Wasps responded with nine runs in the bottom of the frame, taking a lead of their own, 9-3.
- After Emory & Henry scored another run in the second, King scored a pair in the third. Starrs started the inning with a walk, scoring when Borchardt hit his home run to right center field to bring King to within 10-5.
- King added another run in the sixth, as Starrs scored on a balk, making the score 14-6.
- Woodley drew a two-out walk in the fifth, scoring when Ruiz singled to center field. Starrs then stepped up to the plate and singled through the left side, allowing Hyatt to score and bringing the Tornado to within 14-8.
- Woodley picked up a pair of RBI in the sixth, hitting his first collegiate triple to right center field, allowing Eargle and Medford to score, making the score 14-10.
- The Tornado added another run in the seventh, successfully executing a double steal, with Ruiz scoring.
FOR THE FOES
- Jacob Bebber was 2-for-5, with four RBI, while Jared Foley had three RBI for the Wasps.
- Easton Walker got the win, throwing 0.2 innings, allowing no runs en route to his first win of the season.
