CARY, N.C. – The King University men's swim team finished Conference Championships in fifth place as a team after concluding the final day of competition on Saturday. The Tornado finished with two individual champions as
Oscar Kroos won the 400-yard IM and
Edu Elizaran Galan won the 200-yard backstroke.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Day 1
Day 2
- The 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Fedoseev, Elizaran Galan, Matthew Montenegro-Strunk, and Osowiecki broke the school record with their time of 1:24.21 and taking home the bronze medal.
- In the 200-yard Individual Medley, Kroos took fourth place overall with his time of 1:52.37. Perezpuebla Quijano took 11th in the B-Final with his time of 1:57.99.
- Gabriel Noguera took 13th place in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 4::52.82. Evan Hayes finished at 4:55.05 to take 15th place.
- The Tornado had three swimmers in the B-Finals of the 50-yard freestyle. Fedoseev took 10th with his time of 21.23, with Osowiecki right behind him at 21.26. Elizaran Galan finished at 21.45 for 13th place.
Day 3
- Oscar Kroos opened the men's evening competition with a win in the 400-yard IM. He cut five seconds off his time from the morning's prelims to finish with a time of 3:59.25.
- Elizaran Galan took the silver in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.35.
- Fedoseev won the consolation finals of the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.31. Teammate Montenegro-Strunk finished two places back in 11th with a time of 52.15.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, Osowiecki took sixth place in the A-final touching the wall at 1:41.62.
- Perezpuebla Quijano swam a 58.37 in the 100-yard breaststroke for a 10th place finish.
- Osowiecki, Perezpuebla Quijano, Kroos, and Montenegro-Strunk concluded the day's competition with a fifth place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a total time of 3:27.21.
Day 4
- Hayes took ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:04.15. Noguera finished at 17:37.52 to take 13th.
- Elizaran Galan won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:49.83, improving his time from prelims by almost three seconds.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, Osowiecki swam a 46.06 to take sixth place. Fedoseev swam a 46.72 in the Consolation finals to take 11th.
- Kroos touched the wall fifth in the A-Finals with a time of 2:06.26 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Perezpuebla Quijano took 8th with a time of 2:09.66.
- Montenegro-Strunk took 11th with his time of 2:01.21 in the 200-yard butterfly.
- The team of Elizaran Galan, Kroos, Fedoseev, Osowiecki closed the meet with a fifth place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a total time of 3:04.77.
