Tinsley Thompson and
Lilly Million of the King University softball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams. For Thompson, this is her second such honor of her career, while it is the first such honor for Million.
Thompson, a senior from Gallatin, Tenn., batted .399 this season, with 11 doubles, nine home runs and 44 runs batted in, along with a career-high slugging percentage of .677. She had a team-high 19 multi-hit games, along with 11 multi-RBI games.
Million, a senior from Greeneville, Tenn., batted .313 this season, with 12 doubles and 26 RBI. She finished the season on a season-best four game hitting streak, and had a total of five multi-RBI games. April 20 against Chowan, she had a home run and season-high three RBI.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions. Teams are announced year round and amplified by CSC member colleges, universities, and conferences on a wide local, regional, national, and even international scope.
