TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University softball team dropped a pair of Conference Carolinas games Friday afternoon at North Greenville. In game two, King rallied to tie the score at five in the seventh before the Crusaders won in walk-off fashion.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Tinsley Thompson was 2-for-3, with a home run and two RBI in the first game before 1-for-3 with an RBI in the second game.
- Aviah Bunsic and Rachel Jardim both had a pair of hits in the second game, with Jardim hitting a two-run home run.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- After leaving a runner on base in the first, King opened the scoring in the second, as Tinsley Thompson hit the first pitch she saw and hit a home run to left center field.
- The Crusaders scored twice in the third before adding two more in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead.
- In the sixth, Alyssa Suits drew a one-out walk before stealing second base. She scored when Thompson singled to left center field, cutting the lead to 4-2.
- The Tornado got a baserunner in the seventh after Tori Ryan drew a one-out walk, but the Crusaders got a strikeout and flyout to end the game, hanging on for a 5-2 win

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- North Greenville scored two in the first on a two-RBI double.
- The Crusaders added a run in the third after hitting a solo home run, taking a 3-0 lead.
- King responded in the fourth, as Rachel Jardim hit a two-run home run to left center field, scoring Caitlyn Bishop and closing the lead to 3-2.
- North Greenville scored two in the bottom of the frame, before getting a pair of runners on base in the fifth, before Savana Luper induced a strikeout and groundout to escape the inning.
- The Crusaders loaded the bases in the sixth, but Luper again escaped the inning, this time with consecutive strikeouts to keep the lead at 5-2.
- In the top of the seventh, King had bases loaded with one out, where Thompson came up clutch, hitting an RBI single before Aviah Bunsic hit a two-RBI single a couple batters later, scoring Thompson and Lilly Million to tie the game at five.
- North Greenville loaded the bases in the seventh before winning on a walk-off hit by pitch.
