BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Tori Ryan of the King University softball team was named First Team All-Conference Carolinas Thursday afternoon, with
Haylee Dye and
Savana Luper both earning second team all-conference honors.
Ryan, a junior from Bristol, Tenn., is batting .468 on the season, with five home runs and 22 RBI on the season. She had seven multi-hit games, and holds the longest hitting streak on the team at 11 games earlier this season. She had a season-high two doubles April 12 against Erskine, while driving in four runs April 2 against Belmont Abbey.
Dye, a senior from Bristol, Va., played in all 50 games, making 49 starts. She batted .358, with nine home runs, three triples and 40 RBI, along with being perfect in stolen base attempts. She had 16 multi-hit games, along with 10 multi-RBI games. She had a season-high three hits April 21 at Emory & Henry, also hitting a home run and scoring three runs in the game.
Luper, a sophomore from Salem, Va., went 9-7 in the regular season, with a 3.19 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched. She allowed just four home runs, and had an opponents batting average of .214. She led the team with 86 strikeouts and had nine complete games. Feb. 29 against Tusculum, she had a season-high seven strikeouts, allowing just two earned runs on four hits in a complete-game victory.
