BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team won the doubles point Thursday afternoon against the University of Illinois-Springfield, but narrowly dropped the nonconference dual, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King took the doubles point, with Alex Sodre and Isaac Yang winning 6-1 at no. 1 doubles, while Tyler Meade and Mat Vieira won the no. 2 doubles match, 6-4 to clinch the point.
- Sodre also had a win at the top singles flight, winning 6-7, 7-5, 6-3.
- Yang picked up a win at no. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2 over Pablo Herrera.
- The Prairie Stars would pick up wins at no. 2 singles, no. 4 singles, no. 5 singles and no. 6 singles, taking the match 4-3.
