BELMONT, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team dropped their Conference Carolinas opener on Wednesday at Belmont Abbey College. The Tornado played tough, but fell 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belmont Abbey took the doubles point, winning all three doubles matches, but Alex Sodre and Isaac Yang forced a tiebreak at No. 2 doubles.
- The duo fell 7-6 (7-3) to Tim Stemler and Zak Vince.
- In singles play, Yang forced a third set at the third flight against Stemler. After dropping the first set 6-3, Yang won the second set 6-4 but lost the final superset 10-4.
- The Crusaders won the other five single matches to take the match 7-0.

- King returns home to take on Young Harris College on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and Emmanuel University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
