ANDERSON, S.C. – The King University baseball team dropped a pair of contests at Anderson University on Saturday afternoon. The Tornado hit four home runs in game one, but fell 8-7 before the Trojans took game two 13-0.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Tornado got off to a hot start when the second batter of the game, Hyatt laced a home run to left field.
- Anderson evened the score in the second with a two-out hit by pitch followed by a wild pitch and single.
- Medford quickly gave the lead back to the Tornado with a leadoff home run in the third.
- Josh Nuno later tripled and scored on a Hyatt groundout to give King a 3-1 lead.
- The Trojans against manufactured a run in the bottom of the third with an infield single and sacrifice fly to pull within 3-2.
- King started the fourth with a double from Starrs and single from Borchardt to put runners on the corners.
- Starrs scored on a Chad Evans groundout to give King a 4-2 lead.
- Anderson took the lead with six runs in the fifth inning as back-to-back two-run singles gave the Trojans an 8-4 advantage.
- Medford worked a one-out walk before scoring on a Huffman home run in the seventh to pull King within 8-6.
- The Tornado threatened with a pair of one-out runners in the eighth, but Anderson got consecutive strikeouts to end the inning.
- Medford started the ninth inning with another home run, but Ben Thornton retired the next three batters to give Anderson the 8-7 win.

- Following a leadoff double and sacrifice bunt, Anderson took a 1-0 lead on a Tornado throwing error.
- Anderson extended their lead to 5-0 with a two-out grand slam from Kye Andress in the fourth inning.
- The Tornado offense was held down by Ben Smith who only allowed to King hits over seven innings.
- Anderson broke the game open with eight runs in the sixth inning, three on a double from Wells and three more on a home run from Zach Stover.
