BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team earned their first win of the spring, edging past Bluefield State University on Sunday. The Tornado took the doubles point and won three singles matches to take the contest 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- At No. 1 doubles, Rhys Halcrow and Andre Schiabel defeated Alessandro Perez and Pablo Perez 6-4.
- The Tornado earned the doubles points as Alex Sodre and Isaac Yang defeated Teddy Razafindrastima and Merlin Mazalto 6-1 at the second flight.
- In singles play, Sodre defeated Pablo Garcia 6-1, 6-1 at the third flight while Yang topped Mazalto 6-0, 6-3 at the fourth flight.
- Mat Vieira clinched the win for the Tornado as he came back after dropping the first set to Fernando Arguello 7-6 (7-2)
- Vieira won the second set 7-5 before winning the third set 6-2 to clinch the No. 5 singles match and the 4-3 Tornado win.
