EMORY, Va. – The King University women's basketball team fell to Emory & Henry 76-52 on the road on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
- King struck first with a 3-pointer from Le'Aije Ellington and a jump shot from Ashley Allen.
- Sarah Thompson's driving layup would give King their final lead of the night as Emory & Henry quickly retook the lead with 6:09 left in the opening period.
- At the end of the first quarter the Tornado was staring down an 11-point deficit.
Second Quarter
- Jaelyn West and Thompson went on a 13-5 run to open the second quarter. Ellington brought King within a point to extend the scoring run to 15-5.
- The second quarter efforts helped closed the gap and headed to the locker room within a possession of the Wasps.
Third Quarter
- For the majority of the third quarter, King kept it within single digits but a 9-0 run from Emory & Henry closed the period with the Wasps up 52-35.
Fourth Quarter
- West had the first six Tornado points of the fourth quarter.
- However, Emory & Henry maintained their double-digit lead and they closed with their largest lead of the night.

- Emma Santoro had a game-high 25 points, game-high 12 rebounds, and game-high 6 steals.
- Breanna Yarber (14) and Rhyan Harris (11) also contributed with double-digit points. Yarber had 3 blocks and was one rebound away from a double-double.
