Patrick Poku and
Eric Swain both scored their first career goals Saturday afternoon, but a five-goal first half doomed the Tornado, falling to Barton College 6-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After four Barton shots, the Bulldogs got on the board first in the 17th minute on a penalty kick.
- Just two minutes later, the Bulldogs added a second goal, before striking for a third off a corner kick in the 22nd minute.
- After a fourth Barton goal, the Tornado finally got on the board in the 42nd minute, as Swain found Poku in the box, and he headed the ball into the net for his first collegiate goal.
- One minute later, Barton added another goal, leading 5-1 at halftime.
- In the 61st minute, Tijani Ali Khelifaoui sent a long pass down the field and found Swain, who converted for his first goal of the season, making the score 5-2.
- The Bulldogs had a pair of scoring chances in the 68th minute, but the first shot was blocked, while Gauthier Lumale made a save on the second shot.
- Barton added one final goal in the 77th minute, taking a 6-2 advantage.
- The Tornado started to swarm the goal in the final 10 minutes, getting three shots within a minute, but two were blocked while a Renan Caruso shot was stopped by the goalie.
- That would be the final offensive chances for the Tornado, as Lumale made another save in the 85th minute, but the Bulldogs ended up winning 6-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- This was the first collegiate goals for Swain and Poku, and was also the first career assist for Swain.
- Lumale made five saves in net.
FOR THE FOES
- Gabriel Slemer Lopes had two goals for Barton, with four other Bulldogs adding one goal each.
- Nico Rocksien and Lopes both added a couple of assists each.
- Lundon Danford made three saves in goal, playing 58 minutes.

- The Tornado will kick off a four-match homestand Wednesday against Belmont Abbey College.
