BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team dropped a Conference Carolinas Northwest Division contest to Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday afternoon. The Crusaders scored three goals in the first half and added four in the second half to take the contest 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belmont Abbey ripped a pair of shots in the opening four minutes, with the second one finding the back of the net.
- Nate Cox took a pass from Davis McBee and bury his shot to give the Crusaders the early lead.
- Four minutes later, Belmont Abbey struck again as McBee setup Jorge Aguilar who beat the goalkeeper to extend the lead.
- In the 12th minute, McBee posted his third assist of the game, coming on a corner kick that found Zion Duncan's head in front of the net, giving the Crusaders a 3-0 advantage.
- Kenneth Walton had the first scoring chance for the Tornado in the eighth minute, seconds after the second goal, but his shot went off the left post.
- Pedro Herrera had the only shot on target in the first 45 minutes as his shot in the 25th minute was turned away by Will Whitman.
- The Crusaders nearly extended their lead with three chances in the final five minutes of the first half.
- Belmont Abbey had a shot go off the crossbar in the 42nd minute before Gauthier Lumale made a pair of saves, to keep King within 3-0 at the half.
- The Crusaders struck early in the second half, taking a 4-0 lead on a goal from Walter Gomez in the 49th minute.
- McBee later made it a 5-0 Crusader advantage as he found the back of the net in the 59th minute.
- Belmont Abbey added goals in the 71st and 80th minutes to take the contest 7-0.
