2024 softball schedule released

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University softball head coach Kyleigh Payne has announced the 2024 schedule for the back-to-back Conference Carolinas champion Tornado. The season opens at home on February 8 and concludes with the Conference Carolinas Softball Championship from April 25-28.

Following their opening games at home on February 8, the Tornado take to the road for eight straight contests, including a tournament on February 17-18 at defending national champion University of North Georgia. The schedule is also highlighted by a trip to Florida to take on Florida Southern College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Rollins College March 6-8.

In the nonconference schedule, King is scheduled to face six of the other seven teams that qualified for the 2023 NCAA Softball Championship in the southeast region. The Tornado will square off with North Georgia, Lincoln Memorial University, Carson-Newman University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Wingate University and Conference Carolinas foe Francis Marion University. The schedule also includes 2022 regional host Anderson University.

King then opens Conference Carolinas play on March 13 at home against Lees-McRae College.

The Conference Carolinas Softball Championship will take place April 25-28 at Tyger River Park in Duncan, S.C. The 2024 NCAA Regional Championships are scheduled for May 9-11 with the super regionals to follow on May 15-16. The championship is scheduled for May 19-25 in Longwood, Fla. at the Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park.
