CENTRAL, S.C. – The King University softball team swept Conference Carolinas foe Southern Wesleyan University behind an offensive outburst. The Tornado blasted four home runs and scored 30 runs on the day, defeating the Warriors 16-3 and 14-0.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- King grabbed a 4-0 lead in the second inning that was highlighted by a two-run single from Campbell.
- Deel extended the lead to 5-0 with a two-out home run in the third inning.
- Southern Wesleyan scored two unearned runs in the fourth inning before King turned a double play to end the inning.
- A Deel sacrifice fly scored Turner and stretched the King lead to 6-2 in the fifth inning.
- In the sixth inning, Thompson laced a three-run home run before a Camryn Hagg groundout added another to give King a 10-2 lead.
- Southern Wesleyan scored one run in the sixth to extend the game before King scored six runs in the seventh inning.
- Turner played a pair with a single up the middle as the Tornado took a 16-3 lead.
- Savana Luper retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh to give King the 16-3 victory.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Madison Walter tossed a two-hit shutout in the nightcap and only faced three over the minimum in the contest.
- Campbell got the King offense going in the third inning with a home run before a Thompson triple plated another.
- Following a Deel infield single, Helms laced a three-run home tun to give King a 6-0 lead.
- King added four runs in each the fourth and fifth innings to take a 14-0 lead.
- Turner drove in one with a single in the fourth and in the fifth, Logan Leonard drove in one with a double.
- Thompson drove in one with a single before a Haag sacrifice fly and Deel triple added the final Tornado run.
- Walter then retired the side in order in the fifth, giving King the 14-0 win.
