Trent Mahoney of the King University men's wrestling team placed sixth in the 157 pound weight class at the NCAA Division II national championships, earning All-American honors for the first time in his career, and the eighth time in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED - SATURDAY
- Mahoney started the day with a 20-4 tech fall win over Avery Shay of Shippensburg before falling to Dominic Means of Gannon.
- In the fifth-place match, he got a rematch with Nathan Smith of Pitt.-Johnstown, dropping a 5-2 decision to place sixth.
HOW IT HAPPENED - FRIDAY
- Mahoney opened up facing third-seeded Gabe Johnson of Central Oklahoma, pulling the upset with a 9-3 victory.
- After dropping his quarterfinal match 5-2 to Nathan Smith of Pitt.-Johnstown, Mahoney faced Gage Bernall of Lander in the wrestle backs, winning a 10-5 decision to earn All-American status for the first time in his career.
- Morrisette faced top-seeded Billy Higgins of Nebraska-Kearney, dropping a 15-0 technical fall to move into the wrestle back round.
- His tournament came to an end with a loss to Matt Weinberg of Kutztown.
