BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team won five bouts Friday night, but a late string of wins would prove to be the difference, as the Tornado fell to #17 Newberry College, 21-20 in a Conference Carolinas dual.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Newberry won a major decision at 125 pounds, taking a 4-0 lead.
- The Tornado won the next three matches, including a Nico Crosnoe pin of Zach Harrington and Demetri Teddlie winning a major decision over #6 ranked Devan Moore to make the score 13-4 in favor of King.
- Bo Perkins also beat a ranked wrestler, taking a major decision over #10 PJ Wunderlich at 157 pounds to stretch the lead to 17-4.
- Brennan Watkins then picked up an 8-1 win over Asa Walton, extending the lead to 20-4.
- The Wolves would then win the final four bouts, including major decision wins at 174 and 184 pounds and a pin at 197 pounds, hanging on for a 21-20 victory.
