Ella Froehlich of the King University women's soccer team has been chosen as the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week, the first such honor of her career and the third time this season the Tornado have been honored with the award.
Froehlich, a freshman from Sunbury, Ohio, had three goals for the Tornado last week, two of which came Saturday in a 7-1 win at Erskine, the second time this season she has had a multi-goal match. She also had an assist Saturday at the Flying Fleet. Earlier in the week at Belmont Abbey she played 61 minutes, scoring in the 25th minute for King.
