BRISTOL, Tenn. –The King University men's soccer team dropped their home opener Wednesday afternoon, falling to Mars Hill University 5-1.
Kenneth Walton had the lone goal for the Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions struck early and often, as Peter Plougmand scored three goals in the first 15:30 of the match to put them up 3-0.
- Mars Hill extended the lead to 4-0 in the 20th minute.
- Walton struck for his first goal of the season in the 33rd minute, getting a breakaway off a Mars Hill turnover to get King on the board, 4-1.
- The Lions added one right before halftime to take a 5-1 lead into the intermission.
- King was only able to manage three shots in the second half, with Walton and Weston Joyner taking shots on net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Walton's goal was the first of his career. In total he had two shots, both of which were on goal.
- Collin Teperino played the full 90 minutes in net for the Tornado, recording four saves, three of which came in the second half.

- Plougmand finished with three goals, along with four shots on goal in 46 minutes played.
