BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's soccer team dropped their season opener to Tusculum University Thursday afternoon, 7-0.  
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- It took just 13 minutes for the Pioneers to score their first goal, with the second coming eight minutes later.
 
	- In the 43rd minute, Tusculum added a third goal to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
 
	- Tusculum would go on to score four times in the second half, three of which came in a five-minute span to take a 6-0 lead.
 
	- The final goal came in the 80th minute courtesy of Taylor Youmans.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
	- Mackenzie Winters had the lone shot on goal for the Tornado, with it coming in the 30th minute.
 
	- Kristal Garcia played the full 90 minutes in goal for King, making two saves.
 
	- The Tornado won the possession battle, as they had possession of the ball for 63% of the game.
 
FOR THE FOES
	- Bailey Bylotas led the way for Tusculum, scoring two goals on two shots on goal.
 
	- Also scoring for the Pioneers was Taylor Youmans, Sydney Grant, Brianna Garcia, Rosy Woodhams and Marja Enste
 
	- Youmans also added a game-high three assists in 62 minutes played.
 
UP NEXT
	- King will be off for a week before hosting nonconference foe Nova Southeastern on Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.
 
	- Tusculum is on the road for their next game, facing Young Harris College Sunday afternoon.
