ANDERSON, S.C. – The King University softball team had their season come to an end in the NCAA Southeast Regional against top seed and 15th-ranked Anderson University. The Tornado held a lead after the third inning, but the Trojans responded to regain the lead and eventually take the 5-4 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anderson took the lead with two runs in the first inning following a single and a double. A groundout scored one before a single gave the Trojans a 2-0 lead.
- Foster was hit by the first pitch of the game before scoring on a Haylee Dye sacrifice fly to right field.
- Delaney Porter was hit by a pitch to start the third inning before Foster singled.
- Miller then crushed a home run to left field, giving King a 4-2 lead.
- However, Anderson responded with three runs in the fourth inning to regain a 5-4 lead.
- Jessica Neadow hit a two-run home run that evened the score before a single and double vaulted Anderson into the lead.
- King threatened in the sixth with two runners on, but Harlie Duncan got out of the inning with a groundout, keeping the Trojans in the lead.
- The Tornado couldn't get the offense going in the seventh as Duncan retired the side, handing King the 5-4 defeat.
