BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their winter academic all-conference teams presented by Barnes & Noble College, and King University had 42 student-athletes recognized.
The baseball team had eight honorees,
Wes Bonney,
Michael Cordova,
Davis Hall,
Caleb Helms,
Cody Hutcherson,
Drew Moore,
Christian Walzak,
Joe Watson.
The golf teams had five honorees, three men and two women. For the men,
Daniel Everhart,
George Green, and
Beam Ratanaprasartporn earned recognition while
Sasha Gardiner and
Grace Gillen were honored on the women's team.
In track & field, nine Tornado were honored, five men and four women. For the men,
Jake Allison,
Josh Booher,
Kolin Miller,
Jesus Pacheco, and
Mason Thomas were honored while the women's honorees are
Meg Davis,
Grayson Howe,
Samantha Jerrell and
Katy Neubert.
On the court,
Kyle Robinson and
Alex Sodre of the men's tennis team earned the distinction.
Two Tornado men's volleyball players,
Chance Hoffman and
Jack Sarnowski were honored as well as
Dalton Pearl of the men's wrestling team.
The acrobatics & tumbling team had seven honorees,
Lindsay Bowles,
Katie Christian,
Claire Guittard,
Alexis Marquith,
Araya Meredith,
Hannah O'Dea and
Camiel Oliver.
On the diamond, the Tornado softball team had eight honorees,
Nikole Counts,
Haylee Dye,
Camryn Haag,
Samantha Helms,
Rikkelle Miller,
Haley Mullins,
Chelsea Sams and
Carly Turner.
The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams consist of junior and senior student-athletes in the conference who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution.
The GPA is calculated based on the cumulative averages of the student-athletes through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
