BANNER ELK, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team traveled to take on rival Lees-McRae College on Wednesday afternoon. The Tornado tried to comeback in singles play but came up short falling to the Bobcats 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rhys Halcrow and Andre Schiabel earned a 6-3 win over Sam Jones and Landon Church at No. 2 doubles.
- However, the Bobcats had already taken the other two doubles matches to secure the doubles point.
- Alex Sodre started singles play with a Tornado win, defeating Hanging Wang 6-4, 7-5 at the top flight.
- Miodrag Popovic followed with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Ezequel Arce at No. four singles.
- Schiabel then defeated Landon Church 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 singles to give King a 3-1 lead.
- However, the Bobcats won the final three singles matches in straight sets to win the dual 4-3.
