Boone, Small selected All-SACC

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Two individuals from the King University men's wrestling team were selected All-South Atlantic Conference Carolinas (SACC) when the league announced their awards on Tuesday. Dallas Boone earned first team honors and Christian Small garnered second team recognition.

Boone had a great season at 157 pounds, earning all-conference honors for the first time. Boone became the third Tornado to win an NCAA Super Region II championship, qualifying for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships for the first time. The senior owns a 19-9 record, taking four wins by pin, five by major decision and one by technical fall. He also went undefeated in SACC matches. Boone has won his last eight matches leading into the NCAA Championships.

For the second straight year, Small earns second team all-conference honors at 141 pounds. This season Small is 30-3 with eight wins via pin. He also owns six major decisions and two technical fall wins and went undefeated in SACC matches. The sophomore won 13 straight matches in the fall before rolling off 15 straight prior to falling in the NCAA Super Region II first place bout. He finished runner-up at the regional championships, earning his second trip to the NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships. Small enters the national championships ranked fifth at 141 pounds.
