GAFFNEY, S.C. – The top-ranked King University women's wrestling team competed at the Limestone Open on Sunday and six Tornado returned to Bristol with individual titles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado took the top three spots at 109 pounds, led by second-ranked Samara Chavez who went 2-0 with wins over fellow Tornado.
- Chavez pinned teammates Dianna Holmes and eighth-ranked Danielle Garcia to win the title.
- Garcia went 2-1 with a pin and a 10-3 decision over seventh-ranked Cassy Lopez of Presbyterian University in the semifinals.
- Holmes earned a pair of technical fall wins and defeated Lopez on an 8-0 decision in the third-place bout.
- At 123 pounds, third-ranked Cheyenne Sisenstein defeated teammate Melanie Mendoza for the title. Sisenstein went 3-0 on the day with a pair of technical fall wins and one victory via pin.
- Mendoza took a pair of wins by pin before falling to Sisenstein.
- Top-ranked Montana DeLawder won all three of her matches by fall, including a win over four-ranked teammate Phoenix Dubose to take the title.
- Dubose finished runner-up, going 2-1 with a pair of technical fall wins.
- Monica Garcia finished third, going 3-1 on the day. Following a 5:09 pin over Isabella Ruiz of Greensboro College, Garcia fell to DeLawder.
- She then bounced back, earning a 4-3 decision over Greensboro's Ariana Wolkerstorfer before pinning Ashley Wang in the third-place bout.
- Second-ranked Ana Luciano finished first at 136 pounds, winning all three of her matches.
- She started with a 10-0 technical fall before a pair of pins, the first in 25 seconds and the second in 45 seconds over Samantha Larios of Emmanuel College.
- At 143 pounds, second-ranked Ashlynn Ortega took a pair of 10-0 technical fall wins to take the title.
- Ranked fourth at 155 pounds, Tiffani Baublitz finished first at 170 pounds with a pair of wins.
- She started with a 1:37 pin over Maile Ka'ahanui of Liberty University before a 10-0 technical fall over Kalani Rivas of Limestone University.
