BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team earned a pair of wins last week, and Dallas Ewart was rewarded for his performance. The junior was selected Conference Carolinas Men's Wrestler of the Week.
Ewart helped the Tornado to a South Atlantic Conference Carolinas win over Queens University on Wednesday night. Wrestling at 174 pounds, Ewart came up with a first period pin (2:23) over Stephon Halliburton. That win clinched the dual for the Tornado as they took a 25-4 lead, and eventually won the dual 25-16. King also defeated Bluefield State College on Wednesday night.
This marks the first Conference Carolinas Men's Wrestler of the Week award for Ewart in his career.
The Tornado compete at home for the final time this season on Thursday when they host UNC Pembroke at 6:00 p.m. and Belmont Abbey College at 7:30 p.m.
