Katie Harless and
Faith Morse set career highs Saturday afternoon, but the King University women's volleyball team fell to Conference Carolinas foe Mount Olive, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- Mount Olive started the match on a 7-1 run before Chloe Clayton and Hailee Blankenship picked up back-to-back kills.
- After the Tornado got to within 9-6, the Trojans would score the next three points to go up 12-6.
- It was a 15-8 lead for Mount Olive before a service error and block by Clayton and Blankenship got the Tornado to within 15-10.
- Mount Olive would eventually take a 19-11 lead before closing the set by scoring six of the final nine points to take the set 25-14.
Second Set
- After Abigail Belcher started the set with a block, the Trojans would score the next five points to take a 5-1 lead.
- The Trojans stretched their lead to 12-5 before the Tornado scored three straight points to get to within 12-8.
- Zephanie Snyder would pick up what was her third kill of the afternoon to make the score 14-9, but Mount Olive would quickly score five straight to go up 19-9.
- Gracia Love picked up a kill, but the Trojans closed the set on a 41 run to win 25-12.
Third Set
- The Tornado took an early lead in the third set, as Love picked up consecutive aces to put King up 3-1.
- The lead would trade hands until the Trojans took a 7-6 lead, extending it to 15-7.
- After a Mount Olive service error, the Tornado would score four consecutive pints, and six of the next seven points to get to within 16-13.
- The Trojans lead was 18-14 when Harless picked up three straight kills to get King to within 18-17
- King tied the set at 24, and took a 25-24 lead on a Harless kill, but Mount Olive scored four of the final five points to take the set 28-26.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The seven kills for Harless is a new career-high, topping her previous best of six, which came on Oct. 4 against Lees-McRae.
- Lydia Buchanan had 10 assists, while Morse had a career-high eight digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Amara Eziakonwa had a team-high 14 kills for Mount Olive, while Ele'sia Williams had 10 kills.
- Jenna Myer had 24 set assists, while Madison Goodman had 20 assists and five digs.
UP NEXT
- King will close the regular season Tuesday night at North Greenville, with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
- Mount Olive plays at Barton Tuesday in their regular season finale.
