BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the third time in her career,
Deniz Aytun of the King University women's tennis team has been named the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week after her performance in a win over UVA Wise.
Playing at the top doubles flight, Aytun teamed with
Mishka Koricinova to pick up a 6-1 win, helping the Tornado secure the doubles point. In her match at no. 1 singles, Aytun won a three-set match to help King narrowly defeat the Cavaliers.
The Tornado are back on the court Oct. 22, when they close out their fall schedule with a match against Brescia College at 10 a.m.
